Expertise, collaboration and new opportunities for innovation
The RESTART Foundation promotes and coordinates twelve working groups, open to the entire RESTART community and stakeholders from the scientific, industrial and institutional ecosystems.
The groups ensure continuity and valorisation of the expertise, knowledge and relationships developed through the RESTART PNRR Programme, fostering an active national community that connects research and industry, encourages knowledge sharing and creates new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
A hub for ideas and project development
The working groups are a key instrument in fulfilling the Foundation’s mission as a national platform for expertise and collaboration in telecommunications and digital technologies.
Through dialogue among researchers, universities, companies and other stakeholders, they help to:
- identify emerging needs, challenges and opportunities in science, technology and industry;
- monitor technological, market and regulatory developments;
- promote knowledge sharing and co-creation of expertise;
- connect research results with business needs;
- foster new ideas, partnerships and projects;
- support training, experimentation and the valorisation of research results.
Twelve areas, one integrated community
The twelve groups cover complementary technological and cross-cutting areas, from advanced networks, quantum, satellite and photonic technologies to AI, cybersecurity, standardisation, education, matchmaking, project development, communication and policy analysis.
Working together rather than in isolation, they encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and help turn the expertise of the RESTART ecosystem into concrete opportunities.
An open network with shared objectives
Participation is open to the RESTART community, in accordance with each group’s charter, which defines its objectives, activities and operating procedures.
The groups have an advisory and propositional role, identifying opportunities and developing initiatives. The Foundation coordinates their selection and implementation in line with its strategic priorities, available expertise and sustainability criteria.
The ultimate goal is to build a lasting community of collaboration that extends beyond individual projects and contributes to the growth of Italy’s telecommunications and digital technologies ecosystem.
