A historic place brought back to life to look toward the future of innovation and telecommunications. On May 6, the new headquarters of the RESTART Foundation was inaugurated at Casale Micara of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Thanks to funding from Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), promoted by the Ministry of University and Research, the restoration and redevelopment project of the RESTART Casale has returned to the university community a space dedicated to research, education, and technology transfer activities.

The inauguration opened with institutional remarks by the Rector of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Nathan Levialdi Ghiron; Fabrizio Cobis, Director at the Ministry of University and Research; Nicola Blefari Melazzi, President of the RESTART Foundation; and Luca Chiaraviglio, Coordinator of RESTART Spoke 8 and Head of the Casale restoration and redevelopment project.

The initiative represents an important example of the enhancement of the area’s historical and archaeological heritage, while further strengthening RESTART’s mission: fostering the future of telecommunications and technological innovation in Italy.
