RESTART whitepaper second version presented during “Telecommunications of the Future” event
The second version of the RESTART whitepaper – Techno-Economic Vision of the Future of Telecommunications – was presented in Rome at “Telecommunications of the Future” – the conference sponsored by the National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications and co-organized by the RESTART Foundation.
The European and even more so the Italian telecommunications industry has reached a pivot point. On the one hand economic difficulties, on the other technological acceleration require urgent changes. This is why the Grand Challenge 0 of the RESTART program – from which the whitepaper is developed – is born, which aims to identify, through foresight methodology, possible future scenarios of the european telecommunications ecosytem.
The work does not end there; in fact, a third version of the whitepaper is planned, which will aim to provide decision makers with tools to try to steer the system toward the scenario that is believed to be most favorable.
