COHERENT: Spotlight on Key Value Indicators in the first edition of the “Workshop on Value-drive Ethical Networking in 6G”
Spotlight on Key Value Indicators (KVIs): during the first edition of the “Workshop on Value-driven Ethical Networking in 6G (EthicNet)”, organized as part of the IEEE PIMRC 2024 international conference, held in Valencia Sept. 2-5, researchers from RESTART structural project S1 – COHERENT presented scientific contributions pertaining to sustainability in future 6G networks and how KVIs should be defined and measured in future telecommunications network deployments.
The panel with which the event concluded, and which was attended by Giacomo Morabito (University of Catania), Ali Rezaki (Nokia Standards), Katrina Petersen (Public Safety Communication Europe), Andrea Zanella (University of Padua), and Claudia Campolo (Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria) further stimulated a heated debate on sustainability, not only from the point of view of energy efficiency, but also from a social and economic perspective, introducing KVIs as a facilitator of this new ‘ethical’ conception of the telecommunications networks of the future.
