INSPIRE: Call reopens promoted by RESTART Spoke 2 to select Innovative Startups

I.N.S.P.I.R.E. – Integration of Networks and Services acceleration Program – from Innovative Research to Enterprise begins, an acceleration program for startups and entrepreneurial teams with innovative solutions in the field of future telecommunications-based networks and services.

INSPIRE is an initiative implemented as part of RESTART Spoke 2, coordinated by the Politecnico di Bari, in collaboration with Giffoni Innovation Hub, Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione and SPICI.

The program is for 5 innovative business ideas or startups operating in the following two innovation domains:

  • Innovative services in Digital Media & Broadcasting, Gaming & E-Sports, EdTech (Educational Technology), Entertainment Tech, based on advanced connectivity infrastructure (5G, 6G, etc.). By way of example, business projects may cover services and platforms for: video streaming, podcasts, audiovisual content production and distribution; cloud-based games, real-time multiplayer, immersive environments; online training, augmented/virtual reality for education, remote collaborative environments; interactive entertainment, transmedia platforms, live digital events, etc.
  • Innovative Networking systems and solutions that improve integration between advanced networks and services, for ubiquitous and sustainable digitization, consistent with the “connecting the unconnected” paradigm. By way of example, business projects may address innovative systems and solutions that improve the connection of people, places, devices, including through integration with emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, cloud and edge computing, IoT, internet of drones, non-terrestrial networks, AR/VR, digital twin models.

INSPIRE offers a free accelerator program delivered in a hybrid mode, online and in-person, primarily at Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione (Naples) and the Polytechnic University of Bari.

The track will consist of business development and market orientation sessions through educational meetings, one-on-one mentorships and networking & business matching events involving representatives of scientific institutions and prominent private players in the national and international innovation ecosystem, starting with RESTART Foundation partners:

Teams, startups and spinoffs interested in participating in the INSPIRE program are invited to apply by May 4, 2025.
