RIGOLETTO project protagonist at the IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) 2024
RESTART project RIGOLETTO has been one of the protagonists within the IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) 2024,held in Rome from September 10-14, thanks to the workshop “Future Optical Network Architecture and Photonic Technologies for the Internet” organized by Piero Castoldi (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna), PI of the project.
During th flagship event of the IEEE Photonics Society, researchers from the RESTART project RIGOLETTO shared groundbreaking research on optical network architectures and advanced photonic technologies designed to support future 6G networks.
The workshop has been contributed by Emanuele Virgillito (Politecnico di Torino), Stella Civelli (CNR), Andrés Iván Martínez Rojas (Politecnico di Milano), and Pantea Nadimi Goki (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna) and it has been a chance of presenting a selection of hot recent research results. The workshop covered relevant topics for the photonics scientific community ranging from environmental sensing using optical fiber to the 3D printing of photonic integrated circuits, passing through physical layer security and non-linear compensation in optical communications, some of the future technologies adopted in the 6G-integrated Internet of the future.
