Telecommunications of the Future: Solutions for Telecommunications & Telecommunications as a Solution | 9 April 2025, Rome
On 9 April 2025, the conference ‘Telecommunications of the Future’, promoted by National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications and co-organised by the RESTART Foundation, will be held in the Greenhouse of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
The event, now in its seventh edition, will involve high-profile personalities in the fields of research, industry and institutions, and will propose telecommunications as a fundamental asset at the national level for the relaunch of the country’s economy, starting from the results obtained in the PNRR by the RESTART Programme ‘RESearch and innovation on future Telecommunications systems and networks, to make Italy more smart’, the most important public research and development programme ever carried out in Italy in the telecommunications sector financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The first 6 editions of the conference have featured TLC and 5G and its applications in areas of national interest such as healthcare, sustainability, cultural events and initiatives, mobility, research, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things to support the implementation of 5G and telecommunications.
This year’s edition, already with the subtitle Solutions for Telecommunications & Telecommunications as a Solution, highlights the need to involve the world of providers, businesses and public administration in the definition of new operational models of innovation that, on the one hand, make the new network technologies, both traditional and satellite, accessible to the world of applications, and, on the other hand, put these technologies at the centre of the development of new generations of more efficient, sustainable, inclusive and connected processes, products and services.
On this occasion, the second Restart White Paper: a techno-economic vision of the future of telecommunications will be presented.
