The TLC Games continue: the Telecommunications Olympics promoted by RESTART
Big success for the TLC Games: the first national contest dedicated to Telecommunications!
Organised by the CNIT – National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications – and promoted by the RESTART Programme, the initiative aims to encourage the creativity, innovation and knowledge of high school students in the field of telecommunications as a stimulus for their future university career.
Phase I ended on 15 January 2025 and was attended by almost 300 participants, organised into 60 teams. Each team produced a multimedia project in which they presented their idea of the ‘telecommunications of the future’.
At the conclusion of the first phase, the most deserving teams were awarded prizes:
- 1st prize – 3000 €: IISS Ettore Majorana of Termoli with the Into-IT Team
- 2nd prize – 2000 €: ITET Blaise Pascal of Foggia with the I Pascalini team
- 3rd prize – 1000 €: IIS Aldini Valeriani of Bologna with the Next Level team and Istituto Superiore Fantoni Clusone of Bergamo with the 4A_AFM_Amedei_Balduzzi_Jaouhari team
Between 15 January and 2 March, the initial 60 teams faced the next phase of the TLC Games. During this period, the teams trained, with the help of tutors and teachers, in various Capture The Flag tests specially designed for these Olympics.
The final of Phase II took place online on 2 March: the various teams faced 10 of the most entertaining and representative challenges of the TLC Games.
The four teams that excelled most in Phase II will face each other in a final in-person challenge, Phase III. The final will take place on 7 April 2025 at the Talent Garden in Rome. In-person challenges using TLC hardware, provided by sponsors, will take place during the event.
The prizes up for grabs for the winners of Phase III are:
- 1st place: 5000 €
- 2nd place: 3000 €
- 3rd place: 2000 €
