At CRS4 – Center for Research, Development and Advanced Studies in Sardinia, in the innovative Science and Technology Park of Sardinia, located in the Municipality of Pula, a meeting of all project partners was held recently by RESTART focused project F12 – TeleSmEg, which also featured the participation of the ReConEdge project (selected through Cascade Calls).

TeleSmEg aims to integrate new telecommunication technologies with electricity transmission and distribution networks in order to optimize the balance between production and consumption.

The use of Artificial Intelligence at the edge computing enables the automation of smart grids by drastically reducing latency and processing time of data from sensors distributed across the territory and in individual homes.

The TeleSmEg project is complemented by the RecOnEdge project, which complements its capabilities with the further goal of building a PoC that demonstrates how AI at the edge computing can automate smart-grids integrated with energy communities, renewable energy sources, and energy storage systems.
