METACELESTINI DEMO: field testing of wireless solutions developed in RESTART projects
The RESTART Project promoted and enhanced the METACELESTINI DEMO event, held on Friday 9 January 2026 at Villa Griffone in Sasso Marconi, a place of extraordinary historical value where Guglielmo Marconi conducted his first wireless transmission experiments in 1895.
The initiative represented a significant moment of demonstration and validation in the field of the research activities developed within the MOSS focused project and the project awarded the Spoke 5 EMS-MMDV cascade tender.
In particular, the DEMO focused on the functional testing of a wireless link between Villa Griffone and Collina dei Celestini, achieved through a prototype Electromagnetic Skin (EMS) designed and built by from the ELEDIA@UniTN – DICAM node, University of Trento, ELEDIA Research Centre.
The METACELESTINI DEMO event highlighted the value of collaboration between universities, research centres and businesses, involving the partners of the EMS-MMDV project (Marconi Foundation, Telebit, University of Siena, University of Trento) and the F9 project – MOSS project (University of Bologna, University of Rome Tor Vergata), confirming the impact of RESTART activities in the development of future wireless technologies.
